Would a new manager bring new life to the Braves?

Brian Snitker
First base umpire Angel Hernandez #55 tosses manager Brian Snitker #43 of the Atlanta Braves out of the game in the tenth inning against the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park on July19, 2016 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Atlanta defeated Cincinnati 5-4 in 11 innings.

This seems to be the question that has no answer. There is an answer obviously. Bud Black, Ron Washington, and Brian Snitker are all quality managers in baseball. John Schuerholz, president of the Atlanta Braves, will his hands full trying to find the right man for the job. The 2017 season will be an exciting time for the Braves organization.

The Right Manager For The Job

Finding the right manager for the job is a challenge indeed. After listening to a round table discussion on MLB Network, the hosts did not have an answer either. With the new Braves ballpark in Cobb County, is it in the Braves best interest to have a fresh new manager? Brian Snitker has been in the Braves organization for over 40 years as a coach. Bud Black has had a good coaching resume with the Milwaukee Brewers. Finally Ron Washington has taken the Texas Rangers to the World Series.

Three quality coaches and one manager job for the Braves. All arguments are valid. I have my personal opinion, however I do not work for the Braves. Being a baseball writer has it’s advantages. I’m blessed enough to watch every single Braves game and yell at my television as loud as I want. I’m not a very loud usually with my opinions. There is no special link between my room and the Braves’ dugout, although that would be an amazing Christmas gift. The Braves organization will make the correct decision after all is said and done. There is inside information and interviews we as fans will never know about. There is also no timetable for a decision either. Pitcher and catchers will report in late February to Spring Training in Florida. It’s best to let those in charge make those decisions. I’ll be a Braves fan regardless!
