Even though Spring Training is still a few months off, there are reasons to get excited in the Atlanta Braves organization. One current player for the Braves is participating, Julio Teheran for the Dominican Republic. Also former Braves’ short stop Andrelton Simmons will be playing for Puerto Rico.
The W.B.C. will take place in baseball parks all over the world. They will include; Guadalajara, Mexico, Tokyo, Japan, Seoul, Korea, Miami, Florida, and San Diego, California. The championship games will be in Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles, California. The games will begin on March, 6, 2017 and will end on March 22, 2017. The games will happen during Spring Training for all Major League teams, however it will not interfere with the training of the players.
Most MLB are training and developing their skills all year around. Watching the workout videos on YouTube and on MLB.Network are pretty amazing. Baseball player’s like to keep their muscles lean and aren’t necessarily looking to add mass. With the start of the W.B.C. still 3 months away other players are sure to add their names to the rosters. A great thing about the tournament is the player’s get to pick which countries they want to represent. The manager for the United States of America team this year is Jim Leyland. This is exciting for the Braves and baseball. There is competition of course, but the games will be a uniting of athletes playing the game they love, baseball. Good luck to all the countries around the world. GO BRAVES!!!!!
