Kemp crushes another homerun, but the Braves lose another series on the road.

Matt Kemp certainly enjoys playing on the West coast. The rest of the Atlanta Braves hitters, maybe not as much. Jamie Garcia pitched a great game for his ball club allowing only one unearned run in 7 innings. The Braves bullpen which had been as lock downed as they come gave up a go ahead homerun to Eric Young Jr. Young was called up from AAA to fill in for the injured Mike Trout.

There was a bit of drama last night after an umpire called a balk in the 5th inning. Braves manager Brian Snitker came out of the dugout to argue the call and he was ejected from the game. Arodys Vizcaino gave up the homerun in the 8th inning and that gave the Los Angeles Angeles Angels the game win and the series win as well.

The Braves will try and regroup as they fly out East to get ready for their next series with the Cincinnati Reds. Brandon Phillips was traded from the Reds in the off season as he prepares to play in fronts of his former teammates and fans. Phillips has a great personality he brought to the Braves and his fan base should welcome back their former hero. This will be the last road series for the Braves until they head home to SunTrust Park.

The Braves will enjoy a day off, or more to the point a travel day. On Friday night at the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Mike Foltynewicz will take the mound for his ball club. The Braves could use a series win as they have lost the last 2 series out West. Matt Kemp hopes to build on his back to back homerun games. The Braves offense might click now that they are closer to home. Let’s all hope for a great series and a series win. GO BRAVES!!!!!
