The Braves get the series win in Cincinnati and there were 6 Homeruns hit in yesterday’s game!

If you enjoy watching homeruns, yesterday’s game in Cincinnati was the game to watch. The Atlanta Braves hit 3 long balls, and not to be out done the Cincinnati Reds answered back with 3 of their own. The Braves scored 13 runs in yesterday’s ball game, and despite allowing 8 runs scored Julio Teheran got the win. The Braves come home tonight to SunTrust Park, and will start a new series with the Philadelphia Phillies.

Ender Inciatre went 5 for 5 yesterday, and he also hit a 3 run homerun for the Braves. Inciatre may get overlooked at times because he does not have the power numbers of Freddie Freeman, Matt Kemp, or Matt Adams. Ender Inciatre’s 5 for 5 performance at the plate was the 2nd time in the past month he has done so. When Inciatre was asked about his performance at the plate yesterday, he was more upset and wanted to talk about his missing a fly ball that allowed 2 runs to be scored. That type of response is what makes Ender Inciatre a team player.

Matt Adams hit another homerun yesterday, this one a solo shot. At times for a lot of fans it can be difficult to see if a homerun is a routine fly ball with power, or a line drive that clears the fence. Matt Adams homerun yesterday had no doubt it was going to be smashed over the right field wall, the only question was how far was it going to travel. The final homerun came from Danny Santana who got the start in right field, allowing Nick Markakis a day off. Santana was a triple away from hitting for the cycle, but he had to settle for 2 doubles instead.

Yesterday’s game was a lot of fun to watch regardless of which team you were supporting. Yes the Braves finally ended up winning the game, but yesterday’s game was not a run away for the Braves. It was nice watching some of the Braves players who do not get to play every day enjoy their  moment in the sun. Adonis Garcia played well at third base defensively, and fielded the ball very well. The Braves returned home yesterday, and with a new series and a long home stance, it will be a lot of fun watching the Braves play in Atlanta tonight. GO BRAVES!!!!!
