R.A. Dickey pitches a masterpiece as the Braves offense explodes at SunTrust Park.

Atlanta Braves pitcher R.A. Dickey must have enjoyed the 30 minute rain delay last night. He was absolutely brilliant on the pitching mound last night and the San Francisco Giants hitters could not figure out Dickey’s knuckle balls and the Braves offense came through with the run support. The Braves offense had an amazing 8th inning and scored an incredible 7 runs.

The Braves batters in the 8th inning seemed to hit everything the Giants bullpen throw over the plate. Before the 8th inning ever began Matt Adams hit another homerun at SunTrust Park. Matt Adams certainly seems to be enjoying playing every day in Atlanta and the Braves are happy to have him. It will be interesting how the Braves will use Matt Adams once their everyday 1st baseman returns from the disabled list.
The Braves brought in pinch hitter Danny Santana last n night with 2 runners on base. Santana crushed the ball down the right field line and the ball landed in the upper deck of the stadium. There was no doubts about the homerun from the sound of the bat and Santana sent the ball into the night sky in Atlanta. This was the first pinch hit homerun for the Braves this season and a great way for the Braves to celebrate their huge win against San Francisco.
The homeruns leaving SunTrust Park weren’t the only way the Braves offense scored runs last night. Dansby Swanson hit a 2 RBI double in the inning and Nick Markakis also drove in 2 more runs in the 8th inning with a single. All the Braves hitters contributed to the win and last night the Braves did not have to rally late to win the game.
The Braves hitters are hitting the ball very well in the 7th, 8th, and the 9th inning in the past several games. Strong starting pitching performance has been key in the Braves victories as well. Tonight in Atlanta Julio Teheran will look to keep the Braves winning streak in tact which now stands at 3 games. The Braves are playing excellent baseball and this is a team fans can rally around in Atlanta. The Braves players, coaches, and fans are having a lot of fun again as the Braves are climbing in the standings. The Braves are starting to play with the same energy as they did after the All Star Break in 2016. Let’s get excited Braves universe! GO BRAVES!!!!!
