The 1st time I saw the term MVFREE was earlier this year on social media. This promotion is catchy and definitely relevant after last night’s win at SunTrust Park. Freddie Freeman drove in 3 of Atlanta’s 4 runs and rallied his team 1 run down late in the game to pick up the win. Freeman had already crushed a homerun ball earlier in the game and for his encore performance he drove in 2 more runs in the 8th inning.

The Arizona Diamondbacks came to Atlanta hoping to gain some ground in their division, but the Braves are also in a division hunt. There is still a lot of baseball to be played in the 20917 season, but if last night was a glimpse into post season play for both teams baseball fans are in for a treat. The Braves starting pitcher R.A. Dickey pitched a wonderful game however he was not involved in the final decision. The Braves and Diamondbacks both went to their bullpens late in the game after magnificent starting pitching performances.

Braves center fielder Ender Inciatre made a fantastic play in the 9th inning to keep the Diamondbacks hitter’s off the base pads. Inciatre also went 2 for 4 at the plate to go along with his artistic plays in the outfield. This was definitely Freddie Freeman’s night at SunTrust Park that were followed by Friday night Fireworks in Atlanta. It would be interesting to get into players heads in big moments of a major league game and to find out what goes on. In the post game interview Freeman was extremely humble and gave credit to his team mates for the victory.

Tonight the Braves have the opportunity to win the series from Arizona as the Braves will send pitcher MIke Foltynewicz to the mound. Foltynewicz has been on a good pitching streak and is only a couple of weeks away from his almost no hitter against the Oakland Athletics. If the Braves want to make a push for the postseason, this is time to take the bull by the horns. The Braves offense and dominating starting pitching will have to work together and click at the same time, but the Braves do have that possibility. Tonight will be a great game in Atlanta as the Braves look to gain ground on the National League East leading Washington Nationals. GO BRAVES!!!!!
