The Braves get another walk off win last night and have won 2 games in a row!

The Atlanta Braves have made a habit of winning walk off wins in 2017. With 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th inning, Kurt Suzuki gave the fans at SunTrust Park exactly what they paid to see, a Braves win. With last night’s loss the Miami Marlins have lost 10 of their last 11 games and are losing ground in the National League wildcard race. The Marlins might have just removed their name for post season contention.

Sean Newcomb started last night’s game and he gave up 3 early inning runs to the Marlins and he was not involved in the decision. The Braves have moved their rookie starter Lucas Sims to the bullpen as the Braves coaches are still looking to see how their young pitching rotation performs at the major league level. The Braves are going with a 6 man starting rotation for the remainder of the season. Their latest rookie pitcher Luiz Gohara pitched this week for the Braves making his major league debut.

Dansby Swanson looked good last night at the plate going 2 for 4. Jace Peterson gave the Braves everyday right fielder Nick Markakis a well deserved night off and drove in 2 runs last night. Matt Kemp hit the only homerun for the Braves last night and Braves lead off man Ender Inciatre was 2 for 4 at the plate and he had an RBI last night as well. Braves manager Brian Snitker has been very busy lately trying to bring in young players and giving his everyday staters a night off. It worked out well last night and the Braves players were celebrating the win almost like they were headed for the playoffs.

Kurt Suzuki was the hero last night in Atlanta and he had the game winning hit for the Braves. The Braves rallied for 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th inning and it was great to watch the team come together. Ozzie Albies scored the winning run off of Suzuki’s game winning hit and his Braves teammates welcomed Ozzie home at the plate and in the dugout. The Braves will look for another win tonight and will send Mike Foltynewicz to the mound as he looks to get back on track. GO BRAVES!!!!!
