If your a baseball fan, then you have to enjoy watching games with a lot of offense. Last nights game in New York had great pitching from the Atlanta Braves and an offense that enjoyed hitting the baseball. Mike Foltynewicz gave up an early home run to the Mets in the 1st inning. That would be the only run Foltynewicz allowed as he pitched 6 strong innings against the New York Mets. Ronald Acuna started off the first inning with his first Major League triple. Acuna has both power and speed and it easy to see why Braves manager Brian Snitker has Ronald Acuna Jr. batting first in the lineup.
Freddie Freeman drove in a run in the first inning. He continues to be a thorn on the side of the Mets. Second baseman Ozzie Albies also had an RBI last night, and Acuna and Johan Camargo would start to bring their own version of dominance over the Mets. Camargo had 2 RBIs and a double last night. The Braves are fun to watch when the offense and the pitching are both clicking at the same time. It has been suggested that some of the Braves players position their helmets and baseball caps to fly off their heads while running. It doesn’t really matter now does it? This was the Braves 4th straight victory as they attempt to regain first place in the National League East. The Philadelphia Phillies are currently leading the NL East, but the Braves are hot on their heels.
The Braves current record is 58-47. They are 5-5 over the last 10 games and are looking to leave their mid season struggles in the past. This new energized Braves team is fun to watch. Adam Duvall played his first game as a Braves player. Duvall scored his first run after he was walked by the Mets pitching staff. Tonight’s game is looking to be as exciting as last night. Brian Snitker has not released his lineup card yet, but one would think he enjoys having a crop of offensive hitters and pitching staff to choose from. Ender Inciarte did come to the plate last night as a pinch hitter. Inciarte did not get a hit last night, but as long as the team is winning that will have to do. Tune in tonight at 7pm for the second game of the series. Man it feels great being a Braves fan! GO BRAVES!!!
